Tortugas is a small historic village at the foot of Tortugas Mountain, the landmark locals call A Mountain, just south of central Las Cruces. The community centers on the Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine and the traditions of the Tortugas Pueblo, and the homes here are older, close-set, and full of family history. That mix drives steady estate and property cleanouts as longtime homes change hands, along with garage and yard clear-outs on lots that have held belongings for generations. The desert yard waste is constant too — mesquite limbs, spent agave, tumbleweed driven in by the spring winds, and the rock and gravel left from landscape updates. We work respectfully in a neighborhood that takes its heritage seriously, drive onto the property to load rather than making anyone haul to the curb, and keep the worksite clean. Usable furniture and goods are donated locally, the metal and cardboard are recycled, and green waste is composted. Flat pricing with no surcharge for the short run south of town.
